Visari Ella Falls is a waterfall which is situated in the Badulla district. The waterfalls stands at a height of 20 m and is also known as “Alikola Oya North Falls” or “Alkola Ella”. Visari Ella Falls is formed by the rivers namely, Punagala and Alikola while finally flowing in to the Kirindi Oya. Hiking this waterfall is quite easy and can be attempted by even beginner level hikers. The fall is surrounded by a jungle and is usually full of water other than in the dry season. It is the ideal location for a family day out or a picnic with friends because of the beautiful natural surroundings and a natural pool which is suitable for swimming.
Getting to Visari Ella Falls
From Ella travel approximately 10.8 km along the Wellawaya-Ella-Kumbalwela Highway and approximately 3.3 km along the Rakkitha Kanda Road to reach the Visari Ella Falls.
