St. Clair (Major) waterfall is situated in Talawakelle. It is commonly known as “Little Niagara of Sri Lanka”. It is 80 meters high and 50 meters wide and is also known as “Maha Ella” or “Greater Fall”. It is the 20th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka.

Getting to St. Clair (Major) waterfall

From Nuwara Eliya travel along the Avissawella – Hatton – Nuwara Eliya Highway passing Nanuoya up to Talawakelle to reach the St. Clair (Major) waterfall which is situated along the Tawalantenne – Talawakelle Road in Talawakelle.
