St. Anne’s National Shrine is situated along the Thalawila Road in Kalpitiya. It is a very famous church in Sri Lanka and is known to be one of the most ancient and best of all Christian churches in the country. The church is conveniently located and attracts many devotees during the Christmas season, in March and August. It is considered to be a very holy site in Kalpitiya.

From Kalpitiya travel approximately 13.6 km along the Palavi-Kalpitiya Road and turn to Thalawila Road. Travel approximately 3 km along this road to reach the St. Anne’s National Shrine in Thalawila.
