Sri Ponnambalawaneswaram Kovil is a Hindu temple situated in Kotahena, Colombo. It is a well hidden Hindu temple located in the heart of the city. Beautifully constructed with South Indian black granite its stone carvings are considered to be exceptional. Roofed over the temple is a high ceiling which bears resemblance to the Sri Kala Hasti Temple in Andhra Pradesh, India. The temple’s main deity is Lord Shiva along with many other gods also present.
