Riverstone Gap is a popular hiking trek located in the Matale district. It offers a great view for hikers and travelers in general. There are two waterfalls, namely “Sera Ella” and “Bambarakiri Ella” which are located in the vicinity. A trekking trip to Riverstone via Pitawala Pathana is highly recommended as it gives you amazing views of the surrounding valleys including the “Knuckles Mountain Range”.

Getting to Riverstone Gap

From Matale take the Matale – Illukkumbura – Pallegama – Giradurukotte Road and go past Rattota up to Illukumbura. Travel along Riverstone Tower Lane to reach the Riverstone Gap.
