Nainativu Nagapooshani Amman Temple is an ancient and historic Hindu temple which is situated in Nainativu Island. The temple is dedicated to Sri Nagapooshani Amman or Parvati and her consort Sri Nayinaar Swami who is also known as Shiva. The temple has a total of four colorful and decorative gopurams, several mandapams or halls and a few tanks. The temple conducts many Hindu festivities all year long.

Getting to Nainativu Nagapooshani Amman Temple

From Jaffna travel along the Jaffna-Pannai-Kayts Road and the Valukkairaru-Punkudutivu-Kurikadduwan Road up to Kurikadduwan Harbor to get the Kurikadduwan Jetty which carries passengers in a 30 minutes long trip to the Nainativu Island where the Nainativu Nagapooshani Amman Temple is situated.
