Distance from Kandy – 1.4 km (6 minutes)

Meda Wasala is located within the Royal Palace of Kandy, behind Temple of the Tooth Relic. It is the Queens’ Chambers of the palace. The western doorway of the chambers leads to a small open courtyards. There are verandahs surrounding this courtyard. At present the Meda Wasala building is used by Kandy Office of the National Department of Archeology.
