Mapalalla Ella Falls is situated in the Nuwara Eliya district, close to the Rikillagaskanda town. It stands at a height of 45 meters and is also known as “Katugashinna Ella Falls”. The waterfall flows sluggishly until the eastern monsoon season in the months of March and December.

Getting to Mapalalla Ella Falls

From Kandy take the Haragama Road and go past Tennekumbura, Haragama and Marassana until Hanguranketha. Mapalalla Ella Falls is situated near the 31st mile post between Hanguranketha and Rikillagaskanda.
