Distance from Kandy – 1 km (7 minutes)

Kataragama Devalaya or Lord Kataragama Temple is situated in Sri Skandakumara Devala Lane in Kandy. Both Buddhists and Hindus come to worship in this temple as they believe the temple to be of Lord Katargama and Murugan, respectively. Although small in size it is a very important temple in Kandy which is associated with the Temple of the Tooth Relic.
