Kunu Diya Parwathaya is situated along the Kuruwita – Erathna Sri Pada route in Ratnapura. It is a unique-shaped rock with sharpened faces on three sides. There are quite a few legends surrounding Kunu Diya Parwathaya. It is believed that Lord Buddha wanted to keep his sacred footprint on top of this rock but changed his decision due to the presence of a dead snake. Another story also says that during the reign of King Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe, a giant has made a fire on top of Kunu Diya Parwathaya to be visible to the Sri Pada Holy Mountain. This could be true as there is a clear view of Sri Pada from top of this mountain.

From Belihuloya travel along the Colombo – Batticaloa Highway and the Kuruwita – Erathna Road passing Amupitiya, Balangoda, Kahatapitiya, Pelmadulla and Lellopitiya up to Ratnapura to reach the Kunu Diya Parwathaya which is situated along the Kuruwita – Erathna Sri Pada route in Ratnapura.
