Kayts is an island which is situated off the coast of Jaffna in northern Sri Lanka. The Kayts Causeway is a long stretch of road which connected the island to the Jaffna Fort. It is a scenic causeway with masses of prawn farms in the sea. There are also many houses to be seen along the way, which have been abandoned by their owners due to the civil war. The Kayts Causeway also links many other surrounding islands to the Jaffna Fort.

Getting to Kayts Causeway

From Jaffna travel along the Jaffna-Pannai-Kayts Road up to Kayts to reach the Kayts Causeway.
