Distance from Anuradhapura – 17.4 km (30 minutes)

Indikatu Seya is a stupa which is situated in Mihintale. Today, ruins of the stupa lies on a stone platform. According to folklore, the stupa was built enshrining the needles used to stitch the robes of the arahaths who lived in Mihintale.

From Anuradhapura travel along the Puttalam – Anuradhapura – Trincomalee Highway and the Kandy – Jaffna Highway up to Mihintale to reach the Indikatu Seya which is situated in Mihintale.
