Distance from Galle – 4.2 km (16 minutes)

The Galle Fort Flag Rock Bastion is situated at the very end point of the Galle Fort. It was once a Portugese bastion and now stands as an excellent place to catch the sunset in Galle Fort. Ships sailing toward the shores were signaled from the bastion atop Flag Rock during the Dutch colonial era. There are people selling various types of local street food over here.
