Ederagala Wana Senasuna is a Buddhist cave temple situated on the Ambepussa-Kurunegala-Trincomalee Highway in Dambulla. The history of the temple dates back to the 2nd – 1st Century BC. The stupa of this temple is situated on top of a rock which provides 360 degree panoramic views of the surrounding area. On a clear day visitors can view the Dambulla Royal Cave Temple and Sigiriya Rock from this location.
Getting to Ederagala Wana Senasuna
From Sigiriya travel about 9 km down the Inamaluwa – Sigiriya Road and then continue on the Ambepussa-Kurunegala-Trincomalee for about 2 km to reach the Ederagala Wana Senasuna.
