Devil’s Staircase is a hiking and camping area which is situated along the route from Ohiya to Bambarakanda Falls in Kalupahana. It is a scenic hiking trail and a challenging one hike for the adventure lovers. The hike begins from Ohiya, goes past tea estates and ends somewhere near the Bambarakanda Falls in Kalupahana. This trail could also be traversed using a 4WD vehicle due to its uneven terrains.

Getting to Devil’s Staircase

From Belihuloya travel along the Colombo – Batticaloa Highway and Kalupahana – Ohiya Road up to Ohiya to reach the Devil’s Staircase.
