Demala Ella is a waterfall is situated on a tea estate bordering an expanse of the Sri Pada forest in Wewelwatte in the Ratanapura district. The waterfall is 15 m in height and It is a challenging drive to the waterfall which is why a four-wheel drive is ideal for the ride. There is no access road directly to the waterfall, and visitors must walk on the footpath leading to the waterfall.

Getting to Demala Ella

From Belihuloya travel along the Colombo – Batticaloa Highway and Balangoda – Rassagala – Uwella Road passing Aluthnuwara, Ratmalwinna, Balangoda, Karadiyamulla, and Uwella up to Wewelwatte to reach Demala Ella, which is situated on a tea estate bordering a an expanse of the Sri Pada forest in Wewelwatte in the Ratnapura district.
