Brahmana Ella Waterfall is situated in the border of the Sinharaja Forest in Lankagama in the Galle district. It stands at a height of 17 meters and is fed by the Hariyawa brook. According to folklore the waterfall gets its name because of a Brahmin who slipped and died here during the reign of King Walagamba.
