Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) is a convention hall situated in Colombo 7. It was gifted by the People’s Republic of China in memory of the Prime Minister from 1956 to 1959, Solomon West Ridgeway Dias (S.W.R.D.) Bandaranaike. The hall was constructed by a joint workforce consisting of Sri Lankan and Chinese. A small memorial hall was built on these grounds in 1998, as a gift from China in memory of the first woman Prime Minister in the world and wife of the late S.W.R.D. Bandaranaike, Sirimavo Bandaranaike.
