Arcade Independence Square is a shopping complex situated in Colombo 07 in close proximity to the Independence memorial. It is housed in a group of refurbished buildings including the former Jawatta Lunatic Asylum which was later known as the Auditor General’s Building and the former Western Provincial Council Building. The shopping mall was opened in 2014. It consists of many branded retail stores, a Dilmah tea store and restaurants.
