Ape Gama is a historical theme park situated in Battaramulla, close to the “Diyatha Uyana (Diyatha Park)”. The spot was formerly known as “Battaramulla Janakala Kendraya”and was revamped for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in 2013. Known as “Ape Gama” the place now exhibits various aspects of Sri Lankan village life and includes a bird-watching zone and a mini zoo. It is open 365 days of the year from 9 am to 9 pm.
