Ella Uda Ella is a waterfall that is situated in Avissawella in the Colombo district. It is a short waterfall with a height of just 4 m. It takes water from the Kodikande Mountain and the Koswatte Canal network. The spot is also popular for a species of fish named ‘mahseer’. The waterfall is also known as Kahana Ella and Adawala Ella.

Getting to Ella Uda Ella

From Colombo travel along the Kotte – Bope Road, Wewalpanawa – Waga Road, Kaluaggala – Labugama Road, and Thummodara – Puwakpitiya Road passing Malabe, Watareka, Padukka, Waga, and Labugama up to Hanwella to reach the Ella Uda Ella that is situated in Hanwella, Avissawella.
