Wewathenna is a camping site which is situated in Kandy. The route to this place is not an easy one and requires the help of locals in the area. However, the plain at the top of Wewathenna gives amazing views of the surrounding valleys. Also known as Lake Plains, it is widely accepted as the beauty of Medamahanuwara. The popular Victoria Dam is situated along the route to Wewathenna and is a popular pit stop among visitors.

Getting to Wewathenna

From Kandy travel along the Kandy-Mahiyangane-Padiyatalawa Highway passing Tennekumbura, Balagolla, Digana, Teldeniya and Rambukwella up to Medamahanuwara to reach the Wewathenna which is situated along Wewathenna Road in Rajagala.
