Mahatma Gandhi International Centre is a memorial situated in the Matale district. It was declared open on the 22nd of November 2015 in remembrance of Mahatma Gandhi’s historical visit to Sri Lanka in the year 1927. The centre was inaugurated by President Maithripala Sirisena and Indian High Commissioner Y. K. Sinha.
